Arsenal's revenge tour this week marched on. Following dismantling Aston Villa, the turn of Andoni Iraola's Bournemouth who felt the force even after being gifted an opening goal through a rare Gabriel mistake.

Gabriel atoned by scoring the equalizer, prior to the returning midfielder marked his comeback by netting a match-winning double to help Arsenal extended the gap at the summit in the title race.

Mikel Arteta promised his players had learned from previous disappointing defeat. Following a lethargic opening 45 minutes, it appeared those lessons remained unlearned. However, a much sharper performance after the interval, fueled by the midfielder's dominance, secured a fifth consecutive league triumph and sent a stern warning across the Premier League.

Shaky Start and Immediate Response

The Cherries, sticking with the same team, watched Antoine Semenyo almost create an instant impact immediately. Unexpectedly, the opener went to the hosts after a wayward attempted ball fell kindly for Evanilson, slotting home with ease.

Mikel Arteta's ire was palpable, but it was the culprit who provided redemption. After good play on the wing, a scramble ensued to Gabriel, who lashed home a fierce left-footed finish to make it 1-1.

Midfielder Takes Over to Seize Control

The opening half remained far from fluid for Arsenal, as striker Viktor Gyökeres isolated and Evanilson proving a constant menace. Tempers flared at halftime, with the Arsenal bench in a heated discussion against the opposition and heading off to the dressing room.

The team talk during the interval worked wonders. Almost instantly after the break, a slick move through the midfield set up Rice, who made no mistake flew past the goalkeeper to put Arsenal ahead.

The England star had more to offer, grabbing his brace minutes later after exquisite combination play involving Saka and Martin Ødegaard. He marked the goal affectionately to a pitchside camera, as Arsenal appearing cruising.

A Tense Finish Sees Out the Win

Bournemouth, refusing to give up, summoned a response. Replacement Eli Junior Kroupi struck a spectacular long-range effort which soared into the net to set up a frantic finale.

The Cherries pushed desperately in the dying moments, leaving the home supporters furious as the final whistle sounded midway through a promising attack. However, for the victorious team, it was the only thing that counted: another vital points in a relentless title pursuit.
