Authorities apprehended Green on 8 December in a city approximately 580km away, where he was reportedly hiding at his partner's residence.
A law enforcement statement stated that "a suspect" had been arrested.
When a team converged on the apartment complex, the individual was seen "peeking out the window searching for an way out but retreated inside after noticing the authorities," the announcement noted.
The confrontation concluded soon after, when the man exited the residence with his hands up.
The suspect had "altered his physical appearance likely to evade capture," authorities stated further.

Prior to joining the Jets this season, Boyd played the Arizona Cardinals over multiple years in the league.
The cornerback had been on the team's injury list for the Jets after suffering a injury to his shoulder during team practice in the late summer.
