Ex- Physician Faces Assault Charges Against 38 Patients
Legal authorities have announced that a former physician has been charged with committing assaults involving thirty-eight individuals who were under his care.
The Grave Charges
The accused, Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham has been charged with numerous acts of sexual assault – some of which involve some against minors under the age of thirteen – spanning the period from 2017 and 2021.
A senior prosecutor stated, “Our prosecutors have diligently worked to assist a thorough and intricate investigation, meticulously examining the available evidence to establish that there is sufficient evidence to bring the case to trial and that it is in the public interest.”
The Investigation
These allegations follow what investigators called a “complex investigation” into reported assaults at medical facilities: the Royal Stoke university hospital and a facility in Dudley.
Spencer is scheduled to appear at the local magistrates' court on 20 January.

Prosecutors outline the 45 sexual offences comprise:
- 15 counts of assault.
- Seventeen counts of penetrative assault.
- Nine counts of assault on a minor under thirteen.
- 3 counts of assault of a child under 13 by penetration.
- One count of attempting to assault by penetration.
