Raducanu made it to the third stage in three Grand Slam tournaments major tournaments in the current campaign.

Emma Raducanu from Great Britain has withdrawn from her remaining competitions this season due to a health issue she has been battling over the past 10 days.

Raducanu, aged 22 had planned to participate in events in Asia but has decided to fly home to rest and recuperate before starting her preparations for 2026.

Those preparations will include her coach Francisco Roig, as both individuals have agreed to work together again next season.

She had her blood pressure taken during her first-round match against Ann Li in Wuhan and withdrew when losing 6-1 4-1 on an oppressively humid day.

Another medical visit was necessary medical attention at the recent Ningbo Open, where she fell in a three-set match to Zhu Lin, a Chinese wildcard in round one.

Her movement was far from freely in the third set against Zhu because of the lower back problem that has troubled her at times this year.

These outcomes meant an encouraging season, in which she climbed into the world's top 30 for the first time for the first time since 2022, concluded with three straight losses.

She held three match points prior to falling to Pegula in the third stage in Beijing last month.

She secured 28 matches during 2025 and advanced to the semis in Washington, but the highlight of her season was at the Miami event in March.

Ranked first in Britain made the last eight of this WTA 1000 tournament, defeating eighth seed Emma Navarro during the tournament before losing in a three-set match to Pegula, ranked fourth.

She worked with Mark Petchey from the Miami event through Wimbledon, with Roig taking over in time for the US Open.

Roig was also with Raducanu in New York, where she reached the third round prior to losing to Elena Rybakina, the 2022 Wimbledon winner.
