Amy Schumer Announces Separation from Spouse of Nearly a Decade
Star and performer Amy Schumer has announced that she and her partner, cook Chris Fischer are divorcing after seven years of marriage.
The Trainwreck star shared in an Instagram post on Friday, accompanied by a picture of the pair on a train, that they had made the "tough choice" to split and will remain dedicated to caring for their six-year-old son.
"Amicable and all love and respect! Family forever," she said.
Schumer, 44, and Fischer, 45, tied the knot in February 2018 and welcomed their son the following year.

Schumer also joked in the social media update that the split is unrelated to her shedding pounds and not because Fischer is an "acclaimed culinary expert who can still turn heads".
Fischer won the esteemed James Beard award in the American Cooking category for his 2015 cookbook focusing on Martha's Vineyard cuisine.

They were featured together on the TV series Learning to Cook with Amy Schumer, which aired during the Covid pandemic.
The duo also appeared during a film series Expecting Amy that chronicled Schumer's experience, who has been open about having a health issue, during her hard time expecting.
